Editorial Policy
This page explains how BijakDaily articles are researched, written, checked and updated.
Who writes our articles
Every article is written by a named author with a profile page. We only describe experiences, tests or results that the author actually had. When an article is based on research rather than personal experience, we say so.
How we research
- For facts that depend on the country, such as rates, rules, tariffs and prices, we use official sources first (government agencies, regulators and service providers), link to them, and say which country the information applies to.
- When we write or update an article that quotes prices, rates or rules, we list our sources at the end of the article.
- Many examples use ringgit because we are based in Malaysia. Where we use an illustrative example rather than real data, we label it.
How we use AI tools
We use AI tools to help draft articles. A named author then rewrites the draft, adds their own experience and examples, checks every fact against its source, and decides what is published. We do not publish AI-generated text without this human review, and we never invent personal experience, quotes, statistics or sources.
Independence
Advertisers do not decide what we write. If an article ever includes sponsored content or affiliate links, it will be clearly labelled. See our Advertising & Affiliate Disclosure.
Updates
When prices, rates or rules in an article change, we update it. When we make a substantial update, the article shows an "Updated" date. Small fixes such as typos do not change that date.
Money and other important decisions
Our articles are general information, not personalised financial, legal or tax advice. See our Disclaimer.
